چکیده

We develop a theory for waveform-diverse moving-target synthetic-aperture radar in the case in which a single moving antenna is used both on transmission and on reception. We assume that the targets (scattering objects) are moving linearly, but we allow an arbitrary, known flight path for the antenna and allow it to transmit a sequence of arbitrary, known waveforms. A formula for phasespace (position and velocity) imaging is developed, and we provide a formula for the point-spread function of the corresponding imaging system. This point-spread function is expressed in terms of the ordinary radar ambiguity function. As an example, we show how the theory can be applied to the problem of estimating the errors that arise when target and antenna motion is neglected during the transit time of each pulse.

A Robust SAR NLFM Waveform Selection Based on the Total Quality Assessment Techniques

Design, simulation and optimal selection of cosine-linear frequency modulation waveform (CNLFM) based on correlated ambiguity function (AF) method for the purpose of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is done in this article. The selected optimum CNLFM waveform in contribution with other waveforms are applied directly into a SAR image formation algorithm (IFA) and their quality effects performance ...

Spatial, Temporal, and Spectral Aspects of Far-Field Radar Data

We develop a linearized imaging theory that combines the spatial, temporal, and spectral aspects of scattered waves. We consider the case of fixed, distributed transmitters and receivers, and a general distribution of objects, each undergoing linear motion; thus the theory deals with imaging distributions in phase space. We derive a model for the data that is appropriate for any waveform, and s...

Signatures of Moving Target in Polar For- Mat Spotlight Sar Image

The synthetic aperture radar (SAR) signatures of moving target are the basis of ground moving target detection and imaging (GMTI&Im). However, previous studies are mainly based on the 2-D separable SAR processing, and little work has been done to investigate the signatures of moving target after the application of a particular fine resolution SAR image formation algorithm. In this paper, the sp...

A Novel Spaceborne Sliding Spotlight Range Sweep Synthetic Aperture Radar: System and Imaging

In this paper, a new Spaceborne Sliding Spotlight Range Sweep Synthetic Aperture Radar (SSS-RSSAR) is proposed to generate a high-resolution image of a Region of Interest (ROI) tilted with respect to the satellite track. Comparing to the traditional Spaceborne Sliding Spotlight Synthetic Aperture Radar (SSS-SAR), the SSS-RSSAR is superior in contributing to less data amount, lighter computation...
